On my amp (a very similar model at this one) the only hdmi output is not working anymore.
No video nor audio is sent, regardless of the hdmi cable or the input.
Anything i can do ?

Excuse my english i am from Greece.That pure direct button cuts off the signal of the circuit with all the tone adjust like bass/treble/balance/loudness,and feeds the signal through another circuit which is straight up,and direct without passing from anything and its all flat sound and totally cleaner! It sure does work in my stereo amp ax-1090 especially when its on the cd input!

You're not a very knowledgeable technician are you the component video monitor out it's for one you are bringing HDMI in you have a feed coming off of that that you can run directly into the back of the television you have component inputs on the back of the television you will have a red a green a blue or you will have a audio and put your left and right and a video input on the back you saw that on the back of the receiver you saw a red a green and a blue and yellow and a red and a white and that's all the components for your monitor or your television that's what that is for any technician would know that but that's neither here nor there let's continue I love watching these programs where I can catch people screwing up

I bought the new RXV 385 as a replacement, that thing is an undersized underpowered joke and would Love to fix the 793..

I'm wondering if you've been around amplifiers very long, because you don't seem to know the names of quite a few things, that "Dock" on the back is for iPod, Yamaha have has that socket for a long time, the "3 component" you talked about is the input for some visual units that have that output, so therefore there's a component output which connects to the TV that has those connections, the Toslink and Coaxial connectors are just digital audio connectors, and please, if you're going to dust, use a small brush and sweep the dust into a vacuum cleaner hose, you want to suck that dust away, not spread it around, you need to follow the brush with the vacuum hose, you're not working on a dump truck!!
